Cub scouts.  My first and last military experience (not counting Vietnam demos.)  My mom was a den mother as was Pack's and Plenk's.  I don't remember if yours was or she was in charge of those tiny soap box derby replicas we'd race down a short incline at Holladay Community Church.

A truly great person.  We spent many early evenings in his backyard building dams and small cities below them  so we could cut open the dam and yell "Its the Mississippi!" and watch the city get wiped out.  I guess you had to be there.
