Graduated in 1970 from the U with a BA in English Literature and received an MBA from Portland State in 1981.
Moved to Oregon in 1970. Love Portland socially, politically, and even love the weather. Met Lyle in 1978. We married a few years later. He is retired from the electrical wholesale industry. Currently he and a friend are producing toffee and selling it nationwide. I spent my career in research-based jobs and doing editorial work. I still dabble in both.
In 2005, I contracted leukemia, underwent a bone marrow transplant and survived. So grateful to that 26-year-old young man from Kentucky who had the grace to provide the lifesaving cells. He is coming for a visit this weekend and bringing his family!
Both Lyle and I love the game of soccer. I played until the mid-ninties and Lyle, at 66, still plays. He is involved in an over-60 league. Our league became friends with a similar German team 5 years ago. We have been to see them twice and they have been to Oregon once. A delightful association.
I became an OSU Master Gardner this year--it keeps me busy and learning. And, I am still an avid reader.
That's about it. I have no complaints. It has been fun reading about my classmates.
