Van Carter, one of the greats! Wonderful memories of his warm, friendly, caring nature. Great smile, great friend! The world was a better place with you in it. "Until we meet again."
I remember Van playing his steel slide guitar and singing. We had some good time together. In elementary his family would go into Murry to see the show playing there ever Friday night. I remember tagging along with him a several occastions. We lost a great friend when he passed. Fond memories, all.
Van was in my LDS Ward growing up and we were close friends from Oakwood Elementry into our Olympus High school years. His wife, Donna was also a member of the same Cottonwood First ward. He was a good friend and a fine man.
