Gary Bruce Cahoon

"Garbabes"

Gary Bruce Cahoon, 55, passed away Monday, July 7 of complications associated with heart failure.

Born on September 29, 1947 to Harold and Priscilla Cahoon in Salt Lake City. Gary attended Olympus High School and received his B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Utah. He served in the New England States Mission.

Gary loved all he knew and he was an avid student of life. He was also an amateur golfer, astronomer, coach, and musician.

He leaves behind his best friend and partner, Ann Marie, five great kids: Jann, Provo, Daniel (Nicole), Lee Summit, MO, Michael (Alicia) Salt Lake City, Adam (Katherine) Salt Lake City, and Douglas (Michigan Detroit Mission) and four granddaughters, Sydney, Blythe, Alyson and Heather.

Parents, brothers, Harvey and Brad, and sisters, Marion and Wendy and their families mourn Gary.

"Thank you" to all of the wonderful people at LDS Hospital in Thoracic ICU and the Utah Artificial Heart Team. We love you all.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12th, 2003 at 12:00 noon at 3750 South Hillside Lane (2600 East). Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 11th at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. and from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the service.

Gary was one of the brothers I never had. He was a wonderful person1

John Haymore (Haymore)

Gary was my neighbor growing up and a friend all through our school years. His dad was my scout leader.  All the Cahoon's were great people and Gary was an honorable and good person who's life was too short.
